Voncia Terrel Petty

Voncia Terel “The Queen Diva” Petty was born to Cynthia Petty Powell and the late Deacon JB Powell on August 20,1970.

 She attended Savannah Chatham County Public School Systems and graduated from Savannah High School located on Washington Ave in 1989. She went on to further her education and to focus on her passion “baking”, she received certifications from Savannah Technical College. She received Christ at an early age, she kept the faith, she was a worshiper, Von was a God-fearing woman. She was under the leadership of Pastor Philip Ford and Pastor Jack Moon at The Southside Assembly of God Church.

Von enjoyed spending her time baking all kinds of delicious treats for her nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. She enjoyed decorating the house for each holiday. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, California, and New York to name a few. She loved watching WWE and her reality tv shows. Von was known as “The Queen Diva” because she was a fashion model to her family, she enjoyed coordinating holiday outfits with a pair of sunglasses. She loved spending time with her family and friends and making memories that would last a lifetime. 

On Saturday January 27, 2024 at the age of 53, Voncia entered eternal rest at St. Joseph/Candler hospital. Voncia was preceded in death by her father JB Powell, her maternal and paternal grandparents. She leaves to cherish her memories to a loving and devoted mother, Cynthia Powell; brothers Jb Powell III (Montressa) and Delvecchio Powell (Nature); sisters Wendy and Charmaine Powell; 3 Godchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
